OK today we're talking about the Pelican Kayaks we will do a review and comparison.

Pelican Kayaks Review and comparison.

Have you been thinking about getting a lightweight plastic personal kayak? Well today we're taking a look at two different models of the Pelican kayak. These are single person easy to use Kayaks. These are nice light 34 pound kayaks that can easily be carried from your car or your truck to the shoreline. They each have a few different features. For example, one has a compartment for storage with a cover that keeps it semi watertight and the other one just has a set of bungee cords to hold your jacket, backpack or lunch cooler on the front. In the back both just have a compartment with some bungee cords on them to hold your extra equipment.

These are just your basic recreational go out and have some fun paddling kayaks. When we were shopping we didn't know which one was better so we bought both. Now I'm going to compare them. The Argo has a cargo storage bin in the front. The Trail Blazer has some bungee cords for you to just drop your things. So it is a little bit less secure. You may like the cargo bin more. Looking inside of the Argo boat we have a very nice secure stitched seat. The Trailblazer over here and sometimes just a little bit more then not line it's just kind of padded down. The rest of the seats are the same but this bottom part is a little bit less durable compared to the Argo. Moving on to the back of the boat they are almost identical as you can tell they both have room for you to fit some cargo. The Argo one does have some little water holes so you wouldn't want to keep anything that could get wet in it.

Sitting in the seats are identical you can see you have 4 adjustable foot pegs for you to rest your feet in. They both come with this ramx technology in the plastic. I think that helps it from having any problems.

You may be thinking the Argo 100x is the go to and gets your vote. It's got a better seat and more cargo space. Both of them are 34 lb and they are easy to move. One person can pick it up but it is much easier if you use the handles on the sides. And have another person help you carry it.

I will say the Trailblazer is 100% my favorite. The bottom of the boat hull looks almost the exact same on both. I think they are exactly the same, so I'm not sure why but for some reason the Trailblazer seems to carry in a straight direction more easily than the Argo.

The Argo we have noticed does do some drifting and it's a little bit hard to steer and control. That's the most important feature to me and the Trailblazer is the boat that I would buy again.

We did buy this Argo Pelican boat from Academy Sports, we bought the Trailblazer from Dick's Sporting Goods. They are both available on Amazon.

The last thing that I want to point out is we bought these Magellan four-piece No Limits kayak paddle. We have two of them and have absolutely loved them. They come in this little slick carrying case of a bag and you put them together in four different pieces. To make a large paddle.

They are very simple, just popped up buttons and you can slide right apart from each other.

Don't forget your life jacket. So this sums up the differences between these two entry-level Pelican kayaks. Check below I have some links to the paddles and the kayaks and some other Pelican versions that are more geared towards fishing and other sports.
